Who Am I?
I’m Patti. Here’s a few things about me:
Professional Identity
Professionally, I hold a multi faceted understanding of the nervous system and how we can connect to our bodies to process difficult emotions, shift our experience with them and move towards sustaining & attaining optimal states. I have a background in many sport science based trainings and physiology. I’m a registered social worker, and hold advanced education in Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, working with PTSD and Concussion Syndromes.
Personal Interests & Philosophy
Movement! Running is my favorite movement practice. I love everything about running from how it feels to how my body feels when I move through space and time, especially in the trees & trails! I carry a deep curiosity for our connection between our physical health and our mental health. I bring this into my practice with others. I believe when we can create momentum in one area of life, often it can create a ripple affect into other areas of life. That’s also the beautiful thing about working with the nervous system… it creates shifts in our experience and overtime, change happens. We can shift our state through connecting and tending to our physiology. This is the empowering experience of it all. Keep going, gain traction, adjust and build stability & confidence within yourself!
Core Values
All of us come to be who we are through various systems in life- family, school, work, community, sport & culture. These systems carry values and beliefs that shape our world view, even if it’s just for a snapshot in time. Two core values that I lead life with are accountability and curiosity. When we can take owndership for our actions, past and present, we’re able to shift our experiences moving forward. I’m deeply curious about people and how they move through life. All behaviour makes sense when you can understand someone’s context & history.
